Jeremy R. Manning
Dartmouth College
Spring 2026

Final projects start next week!

  • Over the weekend, start brainstorming ideas and think about who you might want to work with
  • Review slides and labs from the first 5 weeks
  • On Monday you'll pitch ideas (1 min max, no slides) and form 1—4 person groups (this might involve shuffling around who you're working with based on what you find interesting and compelling!)

Weekly snippets

  • Quick (2—5 minute) check-in, submitted via Canvas, worth 1 point (credit/no credit)
  • Answer 3 questions (2—4 sentences each):
    • What did you work on last week? (Note: omit for the first one)
    • What are you planning to work on this week?
    • What are you stuck on?

Rest of today's class time

  • Finish summarizing your group's papers
  • Discuss how you'll synthesize the summaries into a story
  • Your writeup of the Data Sleuthing Lab is due today (11:59 PM)
  • Your Literature Review Lab writeup is due Wednesday (also at 11:59 PM)
